Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and older Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. At the age 16, she began singing and learning music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to provide her with more intense vocal instruction. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She performs solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. In addition to being an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of arts and music keeps her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially for the young generation to keep this tradition alive.
